Specifically a 3.23 LSD and a 3.08 off two fourth gen Camaros.

3.08 “Standard” I’m calling it

When my friend crashed his ‘99 Camaro he bent something in the axle, and since there’s a ‘97 with the V6 handling package just sitting on a lift with no plans for it, a swap is being done. The ‘99 is getting the 3.23 from the ‘97, the ‘97 is getting the damaged one from the ‘99 just so we can roll it around.

Taking out the axles was pretty easy really. Like genuinely nothing about it was difficult. Hopefully installing it is just as easy.

How are the pinion seals?

They are notoriously weepy and now might be a good time to throw a new one in. If he gives a shit, of course.

We didn’t get to truly looking at components yet, that’s what we’re doing Monday. Seeing what’s in better condition on which and what needs to be swapped over and changed.
